System Design with Advanced Composites Laboratory

Welcome to
System Design with Advanced Composites Lab.

Greetings! I’m Professor SH Chang.

My laboratory was established in 2002 with the goal of “cultivating advanced design experts with creative problem-solving skills and mechanical design expertise using functional composite materials”.

The 21st century is the era of the 4th industrial revolution, and products with various functions are being introduced, and related technologies and application levels are expected to deepen with the development of the industry. In particular, the field of product design using functional composite materials is applied to the development of new products that did not exist before, and as the demand is diverse, this is an area that is expected to develop tremendously in the near future.

In order to meet the rapidly changing social demand for functional products, it is urgent to train highly trained design experts. Accordingly, our laboratory intends to nurture human resources with practical and theoretical knowledge in the field of intelligent product design with functional composite materials.

With a lot of experience in developing design technology with anisotropic composite materials, which is the core technology of intelligent multi-functional structures and flexible wearable devices, and flexible sensor and actuator design technology, this laboratory is dedicated to developing world-leading talents through creative research.

We are waiting for you to lead the 4th industrial revolution era that is just around the corner.

Thank you.
